The Law of Vibration Revisited
Two questions are repeatedly voiced about manifestation: What is it and does it really work?
I’ll briefly offer my understanding and urge you to explore and study this phenomenon for yourself. After all, understanding and raising your awareness are keys to acquiring what you desire.
First question: What is it – (Is it even real)?
Einstein: “Everything is energy and that is all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is Physics.”
If you are willing to accept the above statement from Einstein, there are two further premises based on quotes from famous authors on the subject that I would like to site here. These will be central to our understanding of the concept of manifestation:
Wallace D Wattles: “There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe.
A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.
You can form things in your thought, and by impressing thought upon formless substance,
can cause the thing you think about to be created.”
Let’s examine this statement: Everything is made of energy in different states of vibration or different frequencies. (The Law of manifestation is a secondary law to the Law of Vibration, which states that everything vibrates.)
If you ask any expert in science or theology, you will come to the conclusion that energy IS, or God IS.
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but only changes form. This means that everything you desire is already here. What you have to do is raise your vibration to match the frequency of your desire.
How does it work?
Genevieve Behrend, in her book Your Invisible Power, writes that our mind is a center through and in which “all power there is“, (divine) is in operation, and this Power is simply waiting to be given direction.
The most important mental tool we have to create with is visualization – the ability to think and form pictures on the screen of our mind. We think in pictures.
First, we have to know what we want. We have to create order in our mind.
How do you keep your mind in order?
Through visualization. It is the great secret to success.
The Creative Power is in you. Through visualization, through your thoughts and your words, you
give it direction, you mold it. It is the only way it can take a specific action (and this means a reaction in concrete or physical form).
Your life does not happen to you, it happens through you. You shape the Creative Energy or Power into a picture and you hold that picture on the screen of your mind.
The 2nd mental tool for creation is the will.
You steadily and consistently hold your picture on the screen of your mind with your will.
The Creative Spirit is given direction via the pictures you think, feel and see. Your picture is reflected into the Universal Mind. Genevieve Behrend says: “By the natural law of reciprocal action, it must be returned to you in either spiritual or physical form.”
This is when the law of attraction works and you attract everything you need – conditions and circumstances for the fulfillment of your desire.
What I found really helpful was to understand that manifestation does not necessarily mean that you will just think something into existence (as how it was somewhat depicted in the movie, The Secret).
It means instead that you will attract the circumstances and conditions and then you will have to take action.
The conscious use of visualization attracts multiplied resources, intensifies your wisdom and enables you to make use of your advantages which you formerly failed to recognize.
Knowledge of this law of reciprocal action between the individual and the universal mind opens to you free access to all you want to be do and have.
To sum up – there is a power that flows to you and through you. I prefer to call this energy the Creative Spirit or Infinite Power, but you may give it another name. You give form to this formless substance via the thoughts you think. The thought creates an image which is reflected into the Universal Mind.
It is important that you think, see (imagine) and FEEL this idea, so that it can be impressed on your subconscious mind.
When it is impressed on the subconscious mind, it will cause the body to take action, which will lead to a reaction from the Universe and a result will ensue.
Whatever you think and feel yourself to be, the Creative Spirit of Life is bound to reproduce in a corresponding reaction. This is why you should picture yourself and your affairs as you wish them to be, (though invisible to the physical eye) and Live in your Picture.
Now, there are further directions given to follow for the manifestation process to turn out the way you want it to: Your will must be sufficiently developed to steadily inhibit every thought and feeling which is contrary to the picture, otherwise it is useless.
Fear should be entirely banished from your effort to obtain possession of the things you desire. Fear should be transformed into Faith, which acts as a powerful magnet.
I, therefore, agree with a statement by Wallace Wattles that thinking in a certain way, regardless of appearances or physical evidence suggested by outside world, is laborious and requires the expenditure of more power than any other work you have to perform. It’s not always easy. This is the subject for another article…
